Serrul is the oldest ancestor known as ours. He was born in 1765 at the White Indian Reserve in Granville County, North Carolina. On November 20, 1785, he married Susannah Lankford in Granville County and appears in the 1800 Johnson County, North Carolina census with five males and five females.

By 1830 the family is in Bedford County, Tennessee, an area that became Marshall County in 1836. Some researchers say Serrul was the Cherokee Indian known as Eagle in Early 1800 migration rolls.

Susannah is the daughter of Henry and Catherine Williams Lankford of North Carolina said to be from Virginia originally. She died in Marshall County, Tennessee before August 1838 when Serrul married Nancy Ann Haynes Noblin Mount, widow of Harris Mount. Ten children are noted in the 1843 will of Serrul; Ann married Benjamin Pyland; Sion, believed to be Wiley Sion; Mahalah "Aley" married Thomas Bloodworth; Nancy married Joseph Sharp; James G.; Aden is noted below; Agnekas "Aggy" married John T. Spears; Unknown son; Elizabeth married John W. Davis; and Sally married James Holder.

 

Aden White married Martha Patricia "Patsy" Mount in 1825 in Bedford County and removed to Polk County, Arkansas about 1855. He and Patsy had nine children; Sloman "Slo" married Matilda Caroline "Lenny" Earp; Lenna married John Wesley Earp; Serral "Pete" is noted below; Sheriah M. "Fed" married Rebecca Lane; Minerva "Nerv" married Benjamin F. Pirtle; Gillan Ann "Gil" married John Rial Perry; Samuel J. "Jay"; Spencer H. married Susan A. Buchanan; and Silas B. married Mary A. Morris.

Patsy is a daughter of Harris and Nancy Ann Haynes Noblin Mount of North Carolina. She had nine brothers and sisters; Lucy; Dorothy "Dolly"; Thompson I. married Jane Caldwell; Mary Ann "Polly" married William Jones; Francis married Nancy S. Buchanan; Sarah; William Jackson "Billy" married Sarah Wilson; Harris Noblin married Lovenia Barnett, Harriet Blackwell, Catherine Salesberry, and Martha Jane Stevenson; and Nancy H.

Serral "Pete" married Matila C. Bickle about 1855 in Polk County, Arkansas. They had eight children, all born in Polk County; Dirotha A. married James Polk Mount; Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" married James Henry Woosley; John Aden married Sara Della Mills; Spencer Lee married Delaney Ann "Ninny" Rogers; William S. married Melinda Louisa "Lenny" Richards; Samuel J. married Savannah Pauline Mills; Martha Drucilla is noted below; and Jasper Henry "Boss" married Alice Traber Graves.

Matilan is a daughter of John M. and Rhoda Bickle of Virginia and Kentucky, respectively. She had four brothers and sisters, and three half sisters; George Washington married Barsheba Flemming and Martha Jane Wright; James; Elizabeth; and Nancy A. were her siblings. Her half siblings were; Louisa "Lou" married Columbus "Lum" Buchanan; Marthina "Martha" married Samuel Martin Imoe; and Susan A.

Martha Drucilla White married Robert Olin Turner on December 25, 1900 at Mena, Polk County, Arkansas. They had four children, all born at Potter, Arkansas; Hulbert Olin married Stella Lowther; Hubert Aden married Dora Ruby Smith; Hoyt Eli married Helena Elizabeth McGinnis; and Edith Drucilla married Henry Thurman Davis and Cleo Robert Armstrong.
